Learning from losing

The Super Bowl was hard for me to watch.

Actually, as a KC Chiefs fan, the national anthem, the ads, the half-time show were all better than the game itself.

Kudos to the Eagles.

They outplayed KC the entire game.

Winning is great.

Losing isn’t.

But, our response to losing is important.

I loved Patrick Mahomes quote after their loss…

“I let y’all down today. I’ll always continue to work and try and learn and be better for it. Want to give thanks to God for every opportunity he has given me. We will be back.”

He owned his part in the loss.

He committed to learn from his mistakes.

He wants to get better.

He’s not done.

He will be back.

I have a mindset that really helps me process times when things don’t work out like I envisioned.

“I either win, or I learn.”

There’s no downside.

It’s a new week.

Reset your counters to zero.

Take another step.

Become better today than you were yesterday.

You’ve got this.
